Quality Assurance
A Good ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System helps Businesses run more smoothly and efficiently, giving the Management Greater Control over the Processes. Many Potential Customers, when selecting their suppliers, Look for companies that are registered to ISO9001:2000.
Since 1989 we have Designed and Implemented ISO9000 Management Systems for Hundreds of Companies from virtually every sector of industry. Now ‘Quality Assurance Approved’, by Certification Bodies such as BSi, NQA & LPCB many of these Businesses still retain our services, to help maintain their Certification and Promote Continual Improvement.
Our normal approach is to work at our client’s premises, with key members of staff, based around a regular routine of half day visits. We aim to carry out our work with minimal disruption and our on-site consultancy is backed-up by an office support service to assist with communication and administration.
Design and Implementation of a New Quality System
To establish a new ISO9001 Quality Management System, firstly we undertake an intensive period of fact finding and design, over an approximate period of two months. For this stage we charge a ‘one-off’ fee.
Once the basic structure of the Quality Management System is established, we proceed with an ‘Implementation Phase’, which would be planned over an approximate period of four to six months, in preparation for Initial Assessment. For this stage we charge a ‘monthly’ fee.
During implementation, we would ensure that issues such as; Quality Manual, Procedures & Flow Charts, Independent Internal Auditing, Control over the Production & Service Processes, Management Review & Continual Improvement, Calibration, Purchasing & Suppliers, Complaints & Nonconformity, Sales Processes & Customer Feedback, Documents & Data, Product Handling & Traceability, Human Resources, Equipment & Vehicles, Design Processes, etc, address ISO9001, and are suitable for the organisation.
Once above stages are complete, the selected Certification Body will visit, to carry out an Initial Assessment, in order to grant registration to ISO9001. We would normally attend on these assessment days to assist in the presentation of the quality system and facilitate the assessment process, ensuring all runs smoothly. For this stage we charge a ‘daily’ fee.
Management Service for Registered Quality System
Once registration has been achieved, we are able to provide a regular ‘Quality Manager Service’ to ensure that the ongoing requirements of ISO9001 are followed and to drive for Continual Improvement. We are happy to offer this service to companies who have an existing Quality Management System in place, or as a direct follow on from our own design & implementation phase.
The key tasks, which we would typically cover, would be to ensure that all of the criteria, listed under design & implementation (above), remain accurate and up to date, as changes occur within the organisation. We will also conduct independent internal audits and manage the relationship with the certification body. For this service we charge a ‘monthly’ fee.
Cost
Due to the differing complexity and size of businesses, and the timescale in which our clients wish to complete the registration process, our normal approach is to make a brief, free of charge, visit for a meeting to clarify specific requirements, from which we prepare an individual quotation.
