Legal Requirement
Regulations such as the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), Working at Heights Regulations 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, define that an employer must not only provide suitable equipment for personnel to work safety at height, but must ensure that they are adequately trained and competent to use it.
Course Suitability
This Training Session is suitable for any operative, involved in height access work, where the nature of the task requires the use of a tower. Admac ‘MAT’ courses are provided specifically for individual customers, allowing the presentation to be focused on their individual needs.
Course Content
- Theory Session (codes of practice, legislation & duties).
- Introduction to MAT’s (Regulations & Standards).
- Securing the Working Area and Assembling the Tower.
- Repositioning of the Tower and General Stability.
- Working Safely from the Tower.
- Tower Inspection (including reporting any defects & hazards).
- Care & Maintenance of the Tower.
- Dismantling of the Tower.
Assessment & Qualification
Throughout the course, delegates are assessed, by our qualified tutor, on their demonstration of practical skills and the theory behind the practice. Upon successful completion of the course delegates are issued with a certificate of training.
